Philip McMaster's unity efforts became public in the late seventies as evidenced by the following photo and caption

"A puppet show is part of a federally-sponsored display promoting Canada now at the Bayfield Mall. The Professor, centre, hands a free map of Canada to Stephen Croll, 10, of Wasaga Beach, with a helping hand from Philip McMaster, federal information officer. The display, including films, photographs and free brochures and pins, is at the mall today and Saturday. (Examiner Photo)"

Location: Barrie, Ontario "The Examiner" January 19, 1979.
