Philip McMaster's unity efforts became public in the late seventies as evidenced by the following photo and caption

" EXPOSTITION ENDS TODAY - Looking over one of the displays being exhibited at Timmins Square by the Canadian Government Exposition Centre is Andy Perrault, 168 Queen St., who stands with federal information officer Philip McMaster of Val Morin Que.

The exhibition, entitled It's All Ours, features a puppet show, films and photographs, free posters, brochures and lapel pins designed to inform residents of the potential of our country. The exhibition ends today. (Daily Press Photo)"
